Introduction

The information below is provided so that you can understand process of ordering a dress or garment from Vendetta Couture. Please read through it carefully before ordering your dress or gown.

Payments

We accept payments in a variety of ways, depending on where you are located in the world.

We accept PayPal payments from anywhere in the world. PayPal is secure, safe and trusted payment option, with millions of transactions carried out each day. You are not need to have a PayPal account to make a payment through PayPal, you can pay by using your debit or credit card just as you would if you were paying in an 'real' shop. From France - We accept cheques, bank transfers (IBAN) and PayPal payments.

From the UK - We accept bank transfers and PayPal payments. Occasionally we can accept cheques but there will be a delay in processing from France and starting work on your order.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer we can supply our account details upon request.

Payment for your item can either be paid in full in advance or in two payments. Two payments is possibly a good option for our more expensive garments. The first payment is in advance, when placing your order at the beginning, and the second payment is made when the garment is completed and ready for delivery/shipping. We can provide photographs of the garment for you so that you can see how it looks at this stage.

We may also offer a lay-away (instalments) plan for certain priced items, please contact us for further details.

If you require us to hold fabric for you until a later date, we will require a deposit. This deposit will be non refundable.

Cheque payments - France and UK - When payment is made by cheque, the cheque must have cleared before we can start working on your garment. Final payments can also be made by cheque, but the garment cannot be shipped until it has also cleared. If a cheque bounces or is refused for any other reason, the customer will be responsible for any bank charges we incur.



Delivery / shipping

All items are currently sent by La Poste (Colissimo), which is the national postal service in France. They are sent with tracking and insurance and this is included in the price we charge for delivery/shipping. Visit their website for more information www.laposte.com

A fast 3-4 day guaranteed service is available, this is more expensive but a good option if you require your item to arrive quickly. Please contact us for more details.Prices vary greatly depending on where in the world you are located.

Delivery price guide: Here is a guide of delivery prices for one standard dress, this will give you a rough guide to the cost.

  • France €16
  • UK, Ireland and other EU countries €24
  • USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the World €40

On some occasions where the actual cost of delivery/shipping has been less than what we may have charged you, we will issue you a partial refund for the difference (taking into account our expenses over the cost of postage). We do not intend to make money from high postage costs so we see it as only fair, as high postage costs do not benefit our customers.

Delivery times - As with every postal service throughout the world, giving exact delivery time may be impossible unless a guaranteed service is used. So what we have done is work out an estimate of delivery times based on our experience of items we have shipped to customers and knowing when the item has arrived.

  • France: 3 - 5 days
  • UK / Ireland: 3 - 7 days
  • The rest of Europe: 5 - 7 days
  • USA / Canada: 10 - 14 days
  • Australia / New Zealand: 10 - 14 days
  • Rest of the world: 10 - 14 days

If your garment is required for a specific date, we recommend you allow up to a month for the delivery because if it is delayed for any reason you don't have that feeling of 'when will it arrive?'. This is more relevant to countries outside of Europe.

For countries within Europe (European Union single market) there are no custom restrictions so parcels are processed quickly. For all other countries, the parcel will need to go through customs, so be aware that this can delay the delivery time and may add an additional cost which is not included in the price Vendetta Couture has charged you for the garment(s) or the delivery/shipping charge. Please check your country's policies on importing items from France or the EU. The tax on importing an item will vary depending on the value of an item and the country of origin and destination. Vendetta Couture will not be held responsible for any customs delays or import duty costs.

You will be notified when your item is ready for delivery/shipping and a confirmation email will be sent when the it has been posted and you will be supplied with a tracking number.

We will require your full name, address and a contact telephone number for delivery (telephone number is now required by most carriers for delivery). We cannot be held resposible for any undelivered items but we will endeavour to assist you in any way we can to ensure your garment arrives safely and on time.



Dressmaking time

On every garment page we have stated the approximate time it will take to make that particular garment. We are normally very good at keeping to these times but occasionally it may be necessary to amend them but this is always done with prior communication and agreement from the customer before an order is accepted.

We can also offer a Super Express Garment Order for those emergency last minute requirements! Obviously this is resticted as it can depend on a number of factors - if fabric is all in stock; our current work load and it will also come with a cost in addition to the garment price.



Refunds and exchanges

To date, we have never had an unhappy customer who has requested a refund or exchange but we want to inform you of how our refund and exchange policy works for your piece of mind.

As most of our garments are made to order or to measure we cannot normally offer refunds or exchange on these items. However, if you are unhappy with your garment please contact us and inform us about the problem you have with the garment and we will contact you to discuss the solution. We want happy customers so we will endeavour to do whatever we can to resolve any issues within reason.

Occasionally we have items that are ready made. These items will come with a 7 day refund option, but they must have not been customised or tried on (worn) before returning them to Vendetta couture.

Important - please note: You will need to contact us as soon as you receive the item to say if you intend to return it and request a refund. You will need to send back within 7 days of receiving it (with a receipt for postage). The item must be sent back (with insurance and tracking) in the exact condition/state that it was delivered to you in and not tried on (obviously some people will try a garment on regardless and possibly try to return it) therefore; if there is any perfume odour; body odour; stains or marks on the item, then the refund policy is negated.

Only once we have received the item, we will issue you a refund for the cost of the garment. We cannot offer a refund on any of the delivery/shipping charges.



Colours in photographs

Whilst every effort has been made in our photographs to show as true a representation of colours as possible, it should be noted that, unfortunately, sometimes computer screens / monitors can show colours a little or even quite differently to how they really are in the original image. So for this reason we recommend reading the description of the garment, where the actual colour will be described as accurately as possible.

If you are still uncertain of the colours and you want added peace of mind - particularly if you want to match the outfit with other colours - we are happy to send out fabric samples so that you can see them for real before you place an order. We do ask for a small fee to cover our time and postage of €5.00. If you can contact us using the form on our contact page, stating what fabrics and / or colours that you would like to see and we will be happy get fabric samples to you as soon as possible.

This will obviously add to time it takes to start your order but some customer will think this is worth it for that added reassurance.



Watermarks on photographs

Almost all of our photographs have Vendetta Couture watermarks overlaid on them to protect our images from unscrupulous people who trawl the web for images for their own uses. The only way to protect our images is to watermark them to make things difficult to use elsewhere without our consent. If you see any of the images seen on this website elsewhere and they do not have our watermark on them please contact us and we can inform you whether they are being used without our consent.

We want our customers to be able to view our clothing without restrictions so if you would like us to send you un-watermarked images please contact us using our contact form and we will be happy to send you these after verifying you are a genuine potential customer.

We hope our watermarks do not get in the way of you enjoying our web site and please feel free to suggest any way we can improve this experience.
