This pretty dress made in a plum (dark reddish purple) crushed (panne) velvet and teamed with a gorgeous two tone (shot) taffeta in shades of lavender to cerise. It has ribbon embroidered flowers all over.
The dress has a high back and sits close to the neck at the shoulders and then opens up to a wide straight front neckline.
The main part of the dress made in velvet with the taffeta used for the centre front panel and lower sleeves.
There are princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground - the same on the back.
There is adjustable lacing at the front and back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a little.
The neckline and the front lacing has been trimmed with grey braid and satin ribbons.
The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbows and the lower sleeves are very full and trailing. There are ribbon ties on the inside of the sleeves so they can be gathered up or worn down. They have been trimmed with grey braid along the edges.
There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").
The length of the dress in the photographs is 152cm (60") from the back of the neck down to the ground.
