Orchid-014 Medieval Dress in Silver and Grey (Gray)

Description

This gown was a special order for a customer who wanted our orchid style dress made in a different colour combination and this is what we made with her colours in mind.

This gown is made in a silver grey rich crushed velvet and complemented with white corded lace and white duchess satin roses.

The dress has a square neckline at the front and back, and has princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground and the same on the back.

There is adjustable lacing at the front and back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a ittle.

The lacing has been trimmed with white braid and satin ribbons.

The skirt is very full with lace inserted panels (godets) making the hem about 6m in circumference!

Each lace panel has been cinched up and finished with a small white rose, each one hand made and sewn on by hand too.

The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbow and the lower sleeves are two layers of full circles, the velvet on top and lace underneath. Both layers have been trimmed with a white edge lace, cinched up and a rose attached. There is white braid around the elbow seam.

There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").

This dress can be dry cleaned for best results or the velvet can be spot washed.

This gown comes with a separate white net petticoat to wear underneath.
