Petal-012 Child's Holly Hobby sun dress and bloomers

Description

The dress has a halter neck style bodice and a shirred back. The skirt is made of 4 tiers of gathered patches, which when sewn all together create a full circle - perfect for twirling!

The bodice is decorated with a natural colour cotton lace trim and ribbon criss-cross. The hem has been edged with a natural colour cotton lace.

The bloomers are full length (down to the ground) and have a ruffled cuffs around the ankle and are trimmed with the cotton lace. There are adjustable ribbon ties around the ankle so that the bloomers can be worn a little higher up the leg if desired.

This outfit is custom made to measure and colour choice. None of the patchwork items will ever be 100% the same but if you wanted more than one outfit and wanted them to match we would do our best to make them as similar as possible.

We have a huge colour range available in the patchwork. Listed below are a few suggested colour themes but we are happy for you to supply us with a colour pallet of your choice and then we can see what we have available.

Suggested colour schemes:
Ocean (as the photo) Teal, aqua, lavender and cream
Flowers- pink, lilac, pale green and cream
Earthy- Pale gold, beige, antique gold, cream and ivory
Forest- Dark green beige, cream and ivory

Above are four examples but there could be endless options. As a guide, choosing between 3 - 6 colours works the best. Also you will need to decide on the over-riding colour (we have used teal for this example). As well as velvet patches, we can use lace fabric patches used amongst the velvet. The lace is always in a neutral colour e.g. white, black or cream/ ivory, this is also the case for any lace trim we use.

This style of outfit is suitable from ages 0 up to 4 or 5 years old.
