Waterlily-015 Medieval Style Dress in Black

Description

This dress is made in black crushed (panne) velvet and complemented with black embroidered taffeta. The taffeta has silver (metallic) embroidered leaves and scrolls all over.

The dress has a square neckline at the front and has princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground. The main part of the dress is made in velvet with the centre front panel and lower sleeves made in the taffeta.

The focus point of this gown is the stunning open back and the corset style lacing. You will get noticed!

The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbow and the lower sleeves are very full and trailing.

There are ribbon ties on the inside of the sleeves so that they can be gathered up or worn down. The sleeve hem has been finished with black scalloped edge lace and the hem of the dress has the same.

There is adjustable lacing at the front and the back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a little. The lacing has been trimmed with black braid and satin ribbons.

There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").

This dress can be dry cleaned for best results or the velvet can be spot washed.

The length of the dress in the photographs is 152cm (60") from the back of the neck down to the ground.
