Betony-013 Medieval Style Gown - Pink

Description

This was a special request from a customer who wanted a pink gown, so we made one for her!

This is a Tudor inspired gown made in candy floss pink crushed (panne) velvet, with ivory rich crushed velvet inserts and ivory embroidered taffeta.

The main part of the dress made in pink and ivory velvet, it is matched with a ivory taffeta which is covered in delicate embroidered leaves and scrolls made with metallic gold threads.

The taffeta is used for the centre front panel, slashed puffed sleeve heads and fitted under sleeves.

The gown has panels of ivory velvet added to the front and inserted into the back of the skirt. This makes the skirt full and drapes wonderfully.

The upper sleeves are fitted and the lower sleeves are full - double lined with velvet (pink on the outer side and ivory on the inside), trimmed with ivory braided trim.

There are cord ties on the over sleeves so that they can be tied up to the elbow.

The under sleeves are made in the taffeta and are fitted from the elbow down to the wrist ending in a pointed cuff. The insides have eyelets and ribbons so they can be adjusted to fit.

There is lacing on the sides of front and at the centre of the back of the dress, this can be adjusted to fit the figure. The whole front of the bodice has been trimmed with the complementing braid.
