Calendine-012 Medieval Dress with hood in Lilac

Description

This dress has a very classic medieval silhouette. It is made in a rich lilac crinkle crushed velvet and complemented with silver crushed (panne) velvet.

The neckline is a wide scoop neck and it has a fitted bodice with princess seams over the bust and down the back. The waist seam comes into a deep point at the centre front. The sleeves are straight to the wrist and have hanging cuffs.

The cuffs can be worn turned up (as shown in some of the photos) or left to hang down over the hand. The silver velvet has been used to line the cuffs.

There is adjustable lacing at the back of bodice which has the contrasting coloured ribbon inserted. If you prefer to have the ribbon the same colour as the main dress please let us know and we can change it.

The skirt is full and has a train at the back measuring 20cm (8").

The skirt is gathered into the waist seam at the back which makes it lovely and full plus looks great with the train when you walk. The front of the skirt is smooth at the waist seam so the fabric does not add extra bulk at the tummy.

To finish the outfit there is a belt made in the contrasting colour and worn tied to highlight the shaping of the waist seam.

A silver braid finishes off the sleeve edges and the belt.

In some of the photographs there is also a matching hooded collar which can be purchased separately. This is made in the contrasting silver velvet and has been trimmed with the silver braid.

The dress can be hand washed.

The length of the dress in the photographs is 152cm (60") from the back of the neck down to the ground.

This dress can also be made in other fabrics, including various types of velvet (panne crushed, matt or rich crushed) and other stretch fabrics.
