This dress is made in a burgundy (dark red) and champagne (pale cream) crushed (panne) velvet and complemented with a jacquard ribbon.
The dress has a square neckline at the front and back, and has princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground - the same on the back. The main part of the dress is made in burgundy with the centre front panel and lower sleeves made in the champagne.
The focus point of this gown is the beautiful wide jacquard ribbon trim which decorates the front neckline and upper sleeves. The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbow and the lower sleeves are very full and trailing. There are ribbon ties on the inside of the sleeves so that they can be gathered up or worn down. The sleeve hem has been finished with a ivory edge lace.
There is adjustable lacing at the front and back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a bit. The lacing has been trimmed with ivory braid and satin ribbons. There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").
This dress can be dry cleaned for best results or the velvet can be spot washed.
This dress has been photographed with a light weight net petticoat underneath which does not come with the dress but can be purchased separately from us if required.
The length of the dress in the photographs is 152cm (60") from the back of the neck down to the ground.
