Lily-016 Medieval Dress with Sleeves in Purple

Description

This dress is made in purple crushed (panne) velvet and complemented with a two tone embroidered taffeta in a lavender (pale purplish blue) colour. The taffeta shades with movement from blue to a cherry plum colour.

The dress has a high back and sits close to the neck at the shoulders and then opens up to a wide straight front neckline.

The main part of the gown is made in purple velvet and the centre front panel and lower sleeves are made in the taffeta.

There are princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground - the same on the back.

There is adjustable lacing at the front and back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a little.

The neckline and the front lacing has been trimmed with silver grey braid and satin ribbons.

The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbow and the lower sleeves are very full and trailing. There are ribbon ties on the inside of the sleeves so that they can be gathered up or worn down. The lower sleeve are lined with the taffeta.

There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").

This dress can be dry cleaned for best results or the velvet can be spot washed.

This dress has been photographed with a light weight net petticoat underneath which does not come with the dress but can be purchased separately from us if required
