Violet-012 Medieval Dress with hood in Black and Red

Description

This is a hooded gown made in black crushed (panne) velvet and complemented with a dark red taffeta.

The main part of the dress is black velvet with the centre front panel being made in the taffeta.

There are princess seams running vertically down over the bust to the ground - the same on the back.

There is adjustable lacing at the front and back of the dress, this can be used to pull the dress a little tighter or to let it out a bit.

The neckline and the front lacing has been trimmed with black braid and satin ribbons.

The upper sleeves are fitted to the elbow and the lower sleeves are very full and trailing. There are ribbon ties on the inside of the sleeves so that they can be gathered up or worn down. There is a short train at the back measuring 8cm (3").

The hood is lined with the red taffeta and when worn up it frames the face beautifully.

This dress can be hand washed.
